Keeping Track to Stay On Track

Hey Busy Moms! How are you doing with your fitness resolutions? If you haven’t even gotten started, don’t worry. It’s never too late to begin that fitness journey and this is a great tip to help you get organized before you get started. If the answer is “I don’t know” or “I’m not sure,” then you are most likely missing the relevance of keeping track. We have discussed the importance of defining your baseline so you know your starting point. Now, what comes next? You must keep a record of what you are doing, how hard you are working, as well as keeping a daily journal of how you feel.  I bet you are thinking that this sounds like a lot of work, but it’s actually a lot easier than you think.  Thanks to technology, everything you need is always a google search, a click of a button and a download away. There are so many fitness trackers you can use to help you achieve your goals.   From wearables like the Fitbit, Garmin and Apple Watch, just to name a few, to apps you can download onto your mobile device. You can even sync the two.   Although I cannot tell you exactly which ones to get, I will direct you to the place where you can do a little research for yourself. This is a personal preference based on how user friendly and affordable each is for you.  http://www.cookinglight.com/healthy-living/fitness/best-exercise-apps-2017

Fitness trackers have many features such us daily, weekly and monthly totals. You can also keep track of your exercise intensity levels, which we will be discussing more in depth in the near future.  Tracking is a great way to keep you motivated, keep you accountable and to give you a good understanding of your current fitness level. You should never feel lost or alone on this journey and if you ever have any questions, I too am only the click of a button away! Just keep moving, Busy-Mom!!
